«Attendant Storms» was recorded in May - August 2011 at OBUKHOVAUDIO Studio by Alexander Obukhov. The remastered edited in 2017.

«Attendant Storms» has been record down with use of the tool vst «PsyBOX +» by Boris Kovalev.
That record is a kind of a promotional material for the issued «PsyBOX» tools.

Ambient-style musician Alexander Obukhov has just released two albums created almost entirely with PsyBox, the excellent m-RGT drone and atmosphere generation tool that I talked about in this article and demoed in this one. The albums, titled Siberian Native and Attendant Storms, appear as collaborative works with Boris Kovalev, the developer of the tool, and according to their main author they would come to serve in a way as promotional works of the spectacular application.

While Siberian Native is shaping up to be a purely atmospheric and rather dark work, the more recent Attendant Storms features no less delirious textures accompanied by powerful sequences and frenetic rhythms that take it quite far from the meditative environment. Well, neither of them is actually particularly suitable for relaxing, sleeping or studying because of the aggressiveness of some of their atmospheres, but they do strike me as two enormously inspiring and interesting works. While the textures and drones of Attendant Storms are spectacular and truly overwhelming, the rhythms that predominate in much of this album seem perhaps too heavy and fast, while Siberian Native, with a very similar background, I find it more pleasant and (although perhaps not the most appropriate word) accessible. In any case and if only as a demonstration of how powerful PsyBox can be, these curious works are worth listening to.
