«Orphans Of The Sky» was recorded in April - May 2020 at ObukhovAUDIO studio by Alexander Obukhov.

«Orphans Of The Sky» is a nod to Robert Heinlein's science fiction novel, space, the universe, and galactic voyages on space ships. I read this novel in my youth, it opened the door for me to space and to the stars.

I suddenly remembered about the novel 30 years later during the beginning of work on a new album, and then I could not think about anything until I finished this recording.

This record is about unrestrained youth, the desire to conquer the stars, the pursuit of dreams. On the cover of the album, a very young man is ready to accomplish a feat and go to the edge of the universe. Let's wish him good luck!

The recording itself is a collaboration of modern technologies with the old Berlin school of the 70s, Moog's analog solos accompanied by sequencer loops. Everything is like in the old glorious days!

This would be a great soundtrack to the Voyager 1 space probe as it travels past enormous planets and stars towards....where? Track begins with a low, bass hum that builds into a a beautiful choir of sound and ends up as classic 70s 80s electronic journey..so sad it's only 1 track, although over 20 minutes...if you like Berlin-School this is a must have!.
